I know the shame of hiding food wrappers. I know the feeling of being trapped in a body that feels like it's killing you. I was 365lbs with a 65-inch waist.

We were lied to. We were told "eat less, move more."
The truth is hormone-based. When you graze all day, your insulin stays high all day. When insulin is high, your body is physically incapable of burning fat. You are locked in storage mode.
The fix isn't starvation. It's giving your body a break so hormones can reset.
Sugar hits the brain's dopamine receptors just like hard drugs. You can't "moderate" an addiction. You have to prepare for it.
Recognize when you are driving to the drive-thru on autopilot. Wake up before you order.
Bought the donuts? Throw them away immediately. It's better in the trash than in your arteries.
Make a plan when you aren't hungry. Don't let your stomach make decisions for your future.
We live in the regret of the past or the anxiety of the future. We rarely live right now.
Meditation isn't woo-woo. It's a necessary break. It's 5 minutes where you honor yourself enough to stop the internal screaming. Focus on the exhale. Count to 17.
You cannot fix your body if your mind is your enemy.
Us "Alpha" types think forgiveness is soft. It is the hardest thing you'll ever do.
Waiting for an apology from people in your past who hurt you is like drinking poison and expecting them to die. Let it go. Put that baggage in the garage.
Most importantly: Forgive yourself immediately when you slip up. Don't turn a bad meal into a bad month.
Your body was specifically designed for this. We just eat too often to let it work.
